Nuro fx, written as one word in the address bar at nurofx.com and sometimes as NuroFX, is a spreadsheet that runs in the browser and is instructed in plain language rather than through formulas, menus and dialogs. You describe the outcome you want and it writes the structure, the formulas and the analysis into a real sheet, then explains what it did. Everything it produces stays as editable cells, so the work remains yours to change.
What it does
- Writes real formulas into cells rather than printing one for you to copy. The formula engine understands 94 functions and was written here rather than assembled from a library.
- Runs SQL queries over the open sheet, so a question about the data does not need a pivot table first.
- Builds live pivot tables and slicers, and draws 13 chart types as SVG.
- Opens from 69 templates across 11 categories, each with working formulas and realistic sample rows.
- Generates scripts for 8 runtimes, among them VBA, Apps Script, pandas and Power Query.
- Reads in English, Arabic, French and Spanish, and flips the whole layout to right to left in Arabic.

Built for how people read
Nuro fx began with a dyslexia and ADHD need for clarity, and that shaped the whole product rather than one settings page. A reading guide marks the row you are on. Letter and word spacing, row height and background tint are all adjustable, and any cell can be read aloud. Nothing animates, reduced motion is respected, and no control uses colour as its only signal.
The Reading page is also honest about the evidence. Typefaces sold as dyslexia cures have not outperformed a clear sans serif in trials, so the page says so rather than selling them.
Tax and compliance, for those who need it
One optional section prepares VAT returns and Zakat figures for businesses filing in Saudi Arabia, turning bank statements, ledgers and e-invoices into a reviewed draft return and a workbook an accountant can work in offline. It prepares figures and does not file them. Everything else in Nuro fx is a general spreadsheet and is not specific to any country.

Do I need to know spreadsheet formulas to use it?
No. You describe the outcome and Nuro fx writes the formulas. Ask it to explain any formula and it reads it back in plain words. Ask it to teach you instead, and it walks the method through so you can write the next one yourself.
How is this different from Excel with Copilot?
Excel and Google Sheets put the AI in a pane beside the grid, so you still work in cells and ranges and accept suggestions from the side. In Nuro fx the instruction bar is the interface, and what comes back is a sheet rather than a suggestion.
What can it build?
Financial models, budgets, forecasts, pivot tables, dashboards and charts. It writes the formulas into the cells, so editing a precedent recalculates everything downstream, whether you wrote it or Nuro fx did.
What languages does it work in?
English, Arabic, French and Spanish. The ribbon, the menus, every dropdown and the contents of the built-in templates all change, and the layout flips to right to left in Arabic. The grid itself stays left to right on purpose.
Is it accessible for dyslexia and ADHD?
That is where it started. Reading and attention settings run across the whole application rather than sitting in one panel, and the interface is deliberately quiet, because busy screens are tiring for the people this was built for.
Does it do VAT and Zakat?
Yes, as one optional section for businesses filing in Saudi Arabia. It reads bank statements, ledgers and ZATCA e-invoices, produces a reviewed draft return and an accountant's workbook, and leaves the filing to you. The rest of the product is country neutral.
